People

Employee

Our employees are our most valuable asset. Therefore, we strive to maintain a fair, safe and healthy working environment for our employees, and we request all our suppliers to do the same.

We have established the Wah Shing Academy, which delivers professional training by external guest speakers and internal experienced staff to build up our employee’s capability. We also encourage our staff to seek for self-improvement whenever possible, where we provide financial support for educational advancement and various in-house and external training.

Charity and Donation

To bring smiles to the community, Wah Shing regularly donates toys to local kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools and churches for their Open Day, Christmas Party, and other events. We have been actively participating in JESSICA Run since 2014 as well, which is an annual charity event that support different NGOs and groups in need. We are also a regular participant in Flag-days organized by the Tung Wah Group. In addition, we grasp any other opportunities to serve our community, such as participating in Charity Walks and other fund-raising events hosted by various organizations.

Ethics

We are IETP certified since 2004, which is an ethical manufacturing program for the toy industry which aims to protect workers’ rights. We strictly implement the ethical standards of the IETP and our compliance team conducts regular internal audit to closely monitor our factories’ compliance status to IETP, as well as any specific requirements of our customers.

Our factories are also registered in the RBA Compliance Program, which is an industry coalition dedicated to corporate social responsibility in global supply chains. RBA committed to support the rights and well-being of workers and communities worldwide affected by the global supply chain.
